Weston

Weston, MA

Location, Location, Location!

Long recognized as one of Massachusetts most affluent towns, Weston is desired both for its regal country estates and exemplary school system. A quick look at a map surprisingly reveals that this picturesque town is a mere 17 miles west of Boston and is easily accessible to commuter Routes 20, 128, and the Mass Pike I-90.

For those who would rather relax and read during their commute, the MBTA provides bus service into four Boston locations and the commuter rail makes it easy to get into the city with a stop at bustling North Station.

One of the things you’ll notice immediately about Weston is the beautiful open space. A tour of the breathtaking Case Estates will give you a glimpse into the history of the town. Also a fun take is The Weston Friendly Society of the Performing Arts, the second oldest theater group in Massachusetts.

Educational Matters

As I said earlier, it’s Weston’s schools that are quite often the biggest draw for prospective homebuyers. There are five public schools in town including the Country School and Woodland schools for kindergarten through third grade, the Field School for grades four and five and then Weston Middle School and High School. There are also several prestigious private and boarding schools in town. As you can imagine, SAT scores are high in Weston with the average being 1,834.
